Did you know that 95% of your life comes from your subconscious programming? (Bruce Lipton, The Biology of Belief)
Unfortunately, though, when something isn’t working, we tend to focus on the 5% – our outer worlds – which can include everything from changing our job, relationship, health regime, etc. When we focus on this, though, we get results rooted in the 5%. On the opposite end, when we focus on the 95%, (i.e. – our subconscious and unconscious blocks and barriers), we get deeply-rooted, bigger and more measurable results.
This is at the heart of why I do what I do and why I believe working on your subconscious is so important.
I like to think about it like this. When we’re growing up, especially from the ages of 0 to 7, we’re constantly taking on things from our environments and the people around us. Some of these are conscious, though most of these aren’t. More importantly, some of these work for us, and some of these don’t. And, many of them help to keep us safe and ensure we are loved.
Now, when you combine this with the statistic that we have on average between 50,000 to 70,000 thoughts per day, and you look at how many of those thoughts are actually working for us, the importance of this gets magnified ten-fold.
I love the subconscious, though, as this is where all of the goodness (and our truth) lies!
